I have written this tutorial
for PSP 7, but it could be easily achieved with PSP 6.
This tutorial uses
selections and layers. Please remember to
save your work often as you work
on this tutorial.
The inspiration for this tutorial came from my Americana Flag Tutorial and a few friends from
Down Under wishing to have a flag they could make for their country.
Special thanks to
Mel for sending me a template to go by and for all of her help in educating this
American on the proper terminology for each piece of your country's flag.
For those or you that are unfamiliar with the different parts of the Australian flag and their meaning,
The Union Jack is representative of the English part of the Australian Heritage.
The five star combination on the right is called the Southern Cross, which is what they can see in the
sky most any time. The seven pointed star beneath the Union Jack is representative of the seven
states/territories of Australia.

You will first need to download the selections for this
tutorial.
You may download them HERE.
Place these
selections into your PSP selections folder. I always add a new folder
and
name it according to the tutorial so I can keep things
straight.
